Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8.0 gets FCC’s approval

Galaxy-Note-8.0-FCC

Prior to its official unveiling, details about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 have been leaking left and right, leaving very little room for imagination and speculation when it comes to its specs. Providing an extra clue is the 8-inch Galaxy Note’s FCC pitstop.

Bearing the model number GT-N5110, the FCC filing reveals that this particular Galaxy Note 8.0 is a WiFi-only “personal tablet” that boasts a 16GB internal storage. It’s possible that the GT-N5100 model will be its 3G variant.

Meanwhile, the diagram of the device seems to match leaked real world pictures of the Note 8.0. So yes, the mini tablet will have a protruding round camera lens on its back. While the filing doesn’t reveal anything new, at least we know that there won’t be any hold up in its release — particularly for folks in the U.S. — once Samsung makes it official.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is likely to become Samsung’s main attraction at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2013 in February. Are you looking forward to it?
