The Moto G5S Plus blurs the line between budget and premium

The Moto G line has always been known as offering a pretty substantial set of specifications at a budget price, with more recent iterations of the device becoming some of the most beloved mid-ranged phones on the market. It seems the company has even more to share with us this month however, and is reportedly set to release three new phones at an event on the 25th, one being a version of the Moto G line we’ve never seen before.

The Moto G5S Plus is reportedly set to launch alongside a more standard sized “non-plus” variant, as well as the new Moto Z2 Force. The G5S Plus is set to be housed in a premium aluminium chassis, much more high quality than that of its standard G5 Plus brother. While much of the internals are set to remain unchanged with a Snapdragon 625, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage, the camera is what is really set to get a bump in performance.

The new camera module is said to sport dual 13MP sensors on the back, and an 8MP camera on the face of the device. Lenovo is looking to use the dual camera technology to enable a blurred background effect such as those present in other devices like the OnePlus 5 and iPhone 7, which should be a pretty enticing sell for those deciding between the G5 Plus and G5S Plus.

We’ll know more regarding these devices later this month, but so far they seem pretty darn enticing for those looking to get a more premium design at a probably decently affordable price.
