Symantec to launch Norton for Android?!

Symantec Corporation has launched the new Norton internet security software for smart phones based on the Android platform to ensure users a safe browsing experience and protect the devices from cyber attacks.

Norton Connect has been providing security services to iPhone and Android devices and access to files backed up using Norton Online Backup. The company will launch the beta version in July.

The beta version of Norton for Android will offer features like scanning for bogus apps, remote wipe and lock and caller blocking. The product includes backup and recovery options for smatphones.

The company is offering the software free for a trail period and it can be downloaded form the site. It will protect devices from all type of cyber attacks and enable faster and safer user experience.

Symantec wants to build upon its brand image and customer satisfaction to expand into other areas. It already offers security to Blu-ray players, TVs, game consoles, tablets, e-readers, and vehicles. The number of smartphones have been rising giving more opportunity for cyber criminals. The users now require protected for their devices.

Symantec focuses on providing security, storage and systems management solutions to business and customers secure their information.
