Nexus 7 (2013) will be available at Staples Canada on July 31 for $249, according to an alleged Staples ad

New Nexus 7

Good news for our fellow Canadians out there! While Google told us that the Nexus 7 (2013) will hit Canada and other countries “in the coming weeks”, Canadians may be able to get their hands on the tablet everyone’s talking about sooner. The Nexus 7 (2013) is set to go on sale at Staples on July 31, according to an alleged Staples ad that will go in effect next week.

The flyer (image above) shows that the tablet, called the 16GB Nexus 7 FHD (Full HD), will be available for purchase at Staples for $249, $20 more than what it’s going for on the Google Play Store in the U.S. There’s no mention of a 32GB version in the ad, but we presume it’ll be available the same day, and it’ll probably cost $20 more as well, effectively making the price $289. That’s just an assumption, though.

On the other hand, it’s probably better to wait and get the Nexus 7 (2013) on the Google Play Store. In most cases, if you have an issue with your new device, the Play Store’s support is much better than most local businesses and even carriers.

Of course, everyone’s itching to get the hottest tablet on the market, so waiting may not be an option. If you’re one of those people, you’ll be able to pick up the Nexus 7 (2013) on July 31! If you plan on waiting, well, Google hasn’t announced an exact date for a Canadian launch of the Nexus 7 (2013), aside from “in the coming weeks”.
