LG is teasing us with a little press release and photos of some upcoming tablets. The LG G Pad line appears to be gaining a 7-inch, new 8-inch and 10.1-inch versions, coming soon. Official product announcements are due this coming week during the European tech show MedPI 2014, between May 13th and 16th.

LG is on a roll this evening, having also just released a teaser video of the upcoming G Watch, Android Wear-powered smartwatch. As teasers go, LG is giving up no information at all on the new G Pad tablets. They do promise LG specific UX features, such as Knock Code. The provided information on the tablets is as follows:

  • G Pad 7.0: Designed to be held in one hand, LG’s smallest Tablet is an on-the-go entertainment hub that delivers both portability and power.
  • G Pad 8.0: With its 8-inch display, LG’s mid-sized tablet offers an immersive multimedia experience and smooth multitasking.
  • G Pad 10.1: With the largest display and battery, LG’s 10.1-inch tablet provides endless hours of entertainment and fun.

In addition to Knock Code, LG talks about an updated version of their QPair feature. QPair 2.0 is LG’s tool to effortlessly connect their new LG G Pad tablets to other Bluetooth enabled Android smartphones, sending notifications from the phone up to the tablet.

LG had a bit of a hit with the original G Pad 8.3, which is still available for $349.99 as a Google Play Edition tablet in the Google Play Store. The G Pad 8.3 is also still the only non-Nexus tablet in the Google Play Store. Along with the specifications that LG is not providing for the new G Pad line, there is no indication if any of these new tablets will head to the Play Store to continue LG’s GPE tablet reign.
