In order to boost sales, Samsung is currently offering a free Gear Fit 2 (valued at £179) to those who purchase the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge in the UK. The offer is valid for purchases made between June 1 and June 30.
To get the Gear Fit 2, you have to buy either one of the two devices from participating retailers and then claim the free gift online. Just visit Samsung’s website, click the “Claim Now” Button, and complete and submit the online form. Samsung will send you a confirmation email within 30 days of making a successful claim and then ship the device to your address.
Although the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are more than a year old, they are still high-end devices. As a refresher, the S7 sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED screen with QHD resolution. It is powered by the Exynos 8890 chipset and has 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone is equipped with a 12 MP primary camera with an f/1.7 aperture and a selfie snapper that has a 5 MP sensor.
Other features worth mentioning are a 3,000 mAh battery, a fingerprint sensor located on the front of the device, and IP68 rating. The Galaxy S7 ships with Android Marshmallow on board that you can upgrade to Nougat.
Its bigger brother, the Galaxy S7 Edge, features a 5.5-inch curved display and a bigger battery that has a capacity of 3,600 mAh. Other specs are the same as those of the Galaxy S7.
Moving on to the Gear Fit 2, the device is aimed at recreational athletes and sports a 1.84 inch Super AMOLED display, GPS, a heart rate sensor, and 4 GB of onboard storage. It tracks your activity and will let you know how many calories you have burned, distance covered, and more. It’s worth mentioning that Samsung has recently released a big update for the Gear Fit 2, which added a bunch of new features to the device.
