A Rumored 7-Inch Mini Asus Transformer Prime on CES 2012

ASUS will be making an official launch of a 7-inch version of their successful Eee Pad Transformer Prime. This bit of information was released by NotebookItalia, who was also able to obtain a leaked rendering of the device. It seemed to be running on Android Honeycomb. Some sources speculate that this might be the OS of the device, considering that there is no other ASUS device that has been launched with the latest Android OS, Ice Cream Sandwich. Just like its earlier version, the 7-inch Mini Transformer Prime will also be sporting the mighty Tegra 3 processor.

But looking back at CES 2011, ASUS also demoed a 7-inch tablet called ASUS Eee Memo Pad. The older model was based on a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 GHz processor. It was also believed to come with glasses-free 3D screens.

Is this the same version as the one we will see at CES 2012? Also, does it have a Snapdragon S3, S4 or Tegra 3 processor? We’ll know just a few days from now!
