16GB Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 available for pre-order at $499

Now you see it online, now you don’t. And after a series of back and forth, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is back on sale once again. If you have been waiting to unleash your Picasso side – with the help of the S Pen – on a bigger and more powerful slate, you’d be pleased to know that you can now pre-order the Galaxy Note 10.1 from J&R.

The retailer has the 16GB Galaxy Note 10.1 model listed on its website for $499 – after a generous $50 discount. As for the 32GB model, it is currently offered for $549.99. While the shipping is free, there’s no information about when they will actually deliver the device.

It’s been a while since we looked at the Galaxy Note 10.1 so here are the specs and features of the tablet:

  • 10.1-inch display with 1280 x 800 resolution (149 ppi)
  • Quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16/32GB/64 internal storage
  • microSD card slot
  • 5MP rear camera and 1.9MP front-facing camera
  • WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0
  • S Pen included
  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • 7,000mAh battery

A quick check reveals that some of the major online retailers haven’t put up the Galaxy Note 10.1 for sale yet. You can either jump the gun now and go with J&R or wait until things get a little bit clearer. Personally, I’d wait until there’s a clear delivery date given for the Galaxy Note 10.1.
