Verizon’s LTE Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) apparently spotted at the FCC

Verizon may soon launch a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) tablet with LTE support, documentation from the FCC seems to reveal.

While Samsung has unveiled no less than four new Android tablets part of the new Pro line at CES 2014 – including the Galaxy NotePRO 12.2, the Galaxy TabPRO 12.2, the Galaxy TabPRO 10.1 and the Galaxy TabPRO 8.4 – Verizon subscribers may have to settle for the “older” Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) at least for the time being.

For what it’s worth, the Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a high-end device, which has reportedly performed very well in stores last quarter, helping Samsung top 40 million tablets sales this year.

The device packs a 10.1-inch display with 2560 x 1600 resolution, 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (LTE version), 3GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage upgradeable via microSD cards, 8-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, S Pen stylus and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on board, likely upgradeable to KitKat later this year. In other words, it has almost the same specs of a Pro model, although it’s not part of that line of devices – you can check our hands-on experience with the tablet in the video playlist below.

However, it’s not clear when Big Red customers will be able to get their hands on this Galaxy tablet model – model number SM-P605V according to the FCC – or how much it will cost, but we’ll certainly keep you updated.
