Toshiba Excite X10: Thinnest Android Tablet at the CES 2012

It seems like the first day of CES 2012 was dominated by the thinnest everything. While there was the fight between Motorola Droid 4 and Huawei Ascend P1 S for the title of the thinnest Android smartphone, it was the former who claimed the spot. In the Android tablet category however, there was no competition to Tohsiba’s claim as the ‘thinnest and lightest tablet’ on their Excite X10.

True enough, the tablet really does feel light and thin—having a thickness of 0.3 inch and a weight of 1.18 lbs., it truly gives itself a new definition in the tablet sector. Plus, the tablet is already running on the latest Google OS, Ice Cream Sandwich as well as a Texas Instruments OMAP system-on-a-chip. Amazingly, the tablet proves that size doesn’t matter because the tablet still has micro HDMI and micro USB ports as well as a dock connector and a micro SD slot.

Unfortunately, the Excite X10 does not have 3G. Instead, the Excite X10 has Wi-Fi connectivity.

Units will be available for shipping in late February. Pricing for Excite X10 16GB storage is $530 while the 32GB option will be sold for $600.
