Tongfang Q5 Android MID

Chinese manufacturer Shenzhen Tsinghua Tongfang Co., Ltd. has released their Tongfang Q5 MID (Mobile Internet Device) with a pretty good performance. Tongfang Q5 will a 4.8″ WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that run on the Android 1.5 OS (hopefully will be upgraded) and be powered by the ARM9 Rockchip 2808 866MHz processor, 128MB RAM, 4GB of storage capacity and connectivity use of a/b/g WiFi. Tongfang Q5 battery has 2200mAh capacity and can survive for about 7 hours of usage. The Q5 is good for surfing the internet and also makes a decent portable media player since the tablet is capable of 720p HD video codec playback. Other features include microSD card support, 3.5mm headphone jack, measuring in at 4.7 x 3.2 x 0.4 inches (120×80.7×9.9mm) and weighs 7.4 ounces (209g).

An early review of the Q5 on Chinese site QQ is positive praising its design, good build quality, impressive overall performance, and excellent video playback performance with it easily handling a 720p, 30fps HD video without any dropped frames.

If you are in China now, you can take one with 1,999 Yuan (about $293 USD).
