Supercell teases Clash Royale tournament mode

Earlier this year, Supercell released a followup to their fantastically popular build-and-pillage mobile game Clash of Clans with a MOBA called Clash Royale. This game is turning out to be fairly popular in its own right, and just as Supercell did with their previous hit, it’s clear they’ve got a barrage of planned features in the hopper.

The next thing coming at us? Well, the mobile game developer is being fairly coy about it, but it a recent tweet has teased that tournaments are making their way to Clash Royale. We don’t have any details just regarding what these tournament might entail, but we’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

For those not in the know, Clash Royale is a multiplayer game featuring many of the same characters from the previous Clash game. Unlike Clans, however, Royale pits you against your opponents in real-time dueling. Winning battles steals trophies and increases your rank, and you’ll collect more and more powerful cards and upgrades to make your team unstoppable.
