Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge getting July security update in India

Samsung Galaxy S7 vs S7 Edge-7

Are you using a Samsung Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge in India? We have good news for you today; your July security update is now rolling out. The month is nearing its end and we understand you may be a little late to the party, but we suppose it’s better late than never.

The update is dated for July 1st and weighs in at 104 MB (Galaxy S7) and 100 MB (Galaxy S7 Edge). Samsung is not very specific on what this brings to the table. The update’s “What’s new” description only lists general bullet points of what the new software might include.

You likely won’t notice a difference, though. If you do, please go ahead and hit the comments to let us know if there are any hidden gems in there.

To update, simply wait for your notification to appear. These security improvements have just started rolling out, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get something right away, as these tend to roll out periodically. Alternatively, you can always go ahead and check for updates in the settings.
