Samsung Galaxy Note 510 (Note 8.0) launched in India for Rs 30,900

The Samsung Galaxy S4 isn’t the only high-profile Samsung product announced in the Indian market today. After launching the device almost 2 months back, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, releasing as the Note 510 in India, has finally been priced, and is now up for pre-order from the official Samsung eStore.

As a reminder, the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 510 include –

  • 8-inch TFT display with 1280×800 resolution
  • 1.6 Ghz quad-core Exynos 4412 processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 64GB
  • 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera
  • 4,600 mAh battery
  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean on-board
  • 3G connectivity

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is the second tablet from Samsung to include the S-Pen, which means that the tab comes pre-loaded with a host of S-Pen optimized apps that include S Note, S Planner, Email with hand-writing integration, Quick Command, Easy Clip, Photo Note, Paper Artist, Air View, Popup Note, Popup Video, Shape Match, Formula Match, and Idea Sketch.

With the 3G version of the Nexus 7 priced at Rs 21,900 (~$413), the Rs 30,900(~$583) price point of the Samsung Galaxy Note 510 is a little steep, but falls in the same range as the cost of the 8-inch iPad Mini in the country.
