A variety of images allegedly showing the LG Nexus 10 have hit the web, detailing potential release dates and pricing for a product that’s yet to be made official by Google.

Previously, Samsung and Asus (in this order) have been rumored to be the makers of the Nexus 10 (2013), but Google did not unveil such a product. We’re now further confused by a slew of leaks that can’t be verified yet, and which suggest that LG may have been also chosen to make a 10-inch tablet.

A reddit user posted an image of the alleged LG Nexus 10 (see above) and a message in Korean, suggesting the device would be launched on November 22 in black and white, and that an LTE version will be available. The post was later deleted, but the image was saved.

Interestingly, the model number of the tablet in that image has been previously associated with a Nexus 8 rumor (LG-V510), and it’s very similar to the model number of LG’s recently launched 8.3-inch LG G Pad 8.3 tablet (LG-V500).

Furthermore, a different reddit user claiming that he or she works for Telefonica (O2) said that the new Nexus 10 is in the company’s database. The image above was posted, alongside the following image:

As the title states [I work for Telefonica (O2), this image of the new Nexus 10 is in our database], I have an image of the New Nexus 10 (2013), I hate my job, I won’t specify what it involves but I have access to databases and this popped up yesterday, I couldn’t give a damn if I got caught.

Anyway, this image should be up on the O2 website without the watermarking when it’s announced, If I get dates I’ll post them here.

Here’s the image: http://i.imgur.com/A4wwhy4.png

It’s completely genuine, I was wondering why there was no status bar, then I assumed it’s a render made by Telefonica and not Google so things aren’t perfect like all carrier renders.

Even the Nexus 10 on the Play Store has no navbar.

Anyway, hope this excites you all! I can’t wait to get my hands on one too!

However, that’s not an official confirmation. Furthermore, Pocket-lint reports that Telefonica denied that the image above comes from O2.

Independently of these reddit posts, an LG Nexus 10 page has popped over on Tesco (link not working anymore), revealing alleged specs for the rumored tablet, and apparently confirmed the pricing shown on the O2 image (£299) as well as the November 22 launch date. Furthermore, the device was listed as in-stock (see following gallery), although the page was later removed.

Here are the rumored specs and features of the LG Nexus 10:

  • Size: 200 x 114 x 8.9 mm
  • Weight: 420g
  • 10-inch IPS display with 2560 x 1600 resolution
  • 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 16GB of storage
  • 802.11ac Wi-Fi
  • 18-hour battery life
  • Android 4.4 KitKat

While these specs may look good on paper, the rumored size of the device is certainly puzzling. If accurate, such a tablet would be smaller than the LG G Pad 8.3 (216.8 x 126.5 x 8.3 mm) and the Samsung Nexus 10 (263.9 x 177.6 x 8.9 mm). As for the weight, this LG Nexus 10 would be heavier than the G Pad (338g), but much lighter than the Samsung Nexus 10 (603g). For what it’s worth, the iPad Air measures 240 x 169.5 x 7.5 mm and weights 469g (the Wi-Fi version).

Finally, Mashable reports that Ubergizmo has apparently seen a page for the new Nexus 10 mistakenly posted by Google on its Google Play Store – we’ve seen that happen with the Nexus 5 before. Apparently the product had a November 21 launch date, although the device was then reportedly removed. The site that first posted information about it removed its article as well. Interestingly, LG was not associated with the Nexus 10 in this case.

These certainly are some bizarre leaks and rumors, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
