Riptide GP: Renegade now available for non-Shield Android devices

Almost three weeks ago, Vector Unit released the much-anticipated racing title Riptide GP: Renegade to Google Play, though it was only available for NVIDIA Shield devices. If you don’t own a Shield device and have been waiting patiently to play it, we have some good news for you. The fast-paced racing game is now available for non-Shield Android smartphones and tablets!

As noted in our previous post, Riptide GP: Renegade adds some much-needed improvements to the Riptide franchise that should be a hit with fans. Unlike its predecessors, Renegade features a story mode that allows you to play as both a racer and a fugitive. Though there are some big changes this time around, gameplay will be quite similar to what we’ve seen in other Riptide titles.

In Renegade, you’ll play a hydrojet racer who needs to prove he is still the best racer on the planet, even after being framed and banned from pro Riptide GP racing. You’l race illegally through city waterways, dodge cops, and, of course, perform some super sick stunts.
