Google on Wednesday announced that the Nexus 5 and the LTE Nexus 7 (2013) are both available in T-Mobile retail stores, which should be good news especially to potential Nexus 5 buyers that have not been able to order theirs yet.
The Nexus 5 sells for $449.99 at T-Mobile, which is $100 more expensive than what Google is asking for it, but it can also be purchased with T-Mobile’s uncarrier pricing scheme: $41.99 up front fee followed by 24 monthly payments of $17 each.
T-Mobile only has the black 16GB model in stores, so buyers interested in either the 32GB version or the white Nexus 5 should still go to the Play Store. Speaking of Nexus 5 Play Store availability, don’t be surprised to hear that you’re still going to have to wait a few weeks for your Nexus 5 unit to ship, depending on the model you choose.
The LTE Nexus 7 (2013) has a starting price of $349 in the Google Play Store, but T-Mobile sells it for $384 up front, or for $0 up front followed by 24 monthly payments of $16 each. Unlike with the Nexus 5, the new Nexus 7 tablet is in stock and it will ship in 1-2 business days from the Play Store.
Will you buy your Nexus devices from T-Mobile retail stores? Or are you ordering them online from Google?
