Please, Don’t Touch Anything coming to Oculus Rift, Gear VR (Update: out now!)

Update (5/22): The day has finally arrived — Please, Don’t Touch Anything is now available for the Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR! Head to the Oculus Store to download the game for $4.99.

Original post (5/5): If you didn’t catch Please, Don’t Touch Anything on Steam or Android, then you’re missing out on an intriguing little puzzler. The game puts you in the role of a clueless employee who is filling in for a co-worker who needs to step out for a bathroom break. All you’re told is not to touch anything, and all that sits before you is a single red button. Human nature inevitably kicks in, and comedic chaos ensues. Now fans of the game will be pleased to learn that an adaptation for virtual reality is on the way. Please, Don’t Touch Anything will be arriving on Oculus Rift and Samsung Gear VR this month.

While the original game sported the ever-popular retro, pixelated aesthetic, the VR version has been adapted to have a simple style that’s vaguely reminiscent of the Stanley Parable. You can now look around the room in which you’re seated rather than being forced to stare at the screen depicting an ill-fated city soon to bear the brunt of your irresponsibility. It’s a game driven by curiosity and puzzle solving, with various panels, toggles, and cryptic messages revealing themselves as you progress. The VR game has all the puzzles of the original, but the developers have taken advantage of the 360-degrees of vision to add five new puzzles that will involve some head turning.

Please, Don’t Touch Anything will hit the Oculus Store on May 19th, 2016. While you wait for the VR version to come out, you might as well give the mobile game a spin. Click the button below to download it from the Google Play Store. You’ll pay five bucks for it once, and there are no ads or in-app purchases. Let us know what you think of it in the comments!
