Back in CES 2012, we saw a lot of really cool upcoming Android smartphones and tablets. But if there’s one accessory we failed to mention, it would be Philips’ new PMP system; an Android based portable media player. Well, they also had an iPhone docking speaker system but we’re more interested on the PMP!
The PMP is actually a successor to the GoGear Connect, but both of them run on Android 2.3 OS and have a capacitive touch screen display. The big difference is that the new model has a larger screen of 0.3 inches compared to the 3.2 of the previous model. It also has a capacitive touch technology, MicroSD card slot for expanded memory, front-facing video camera, and Bluetooth 3.0.
The PMP will be available in April with options of 8GB or 16GB, at a suggested price for $169 and $199, respectively.
