Back in September Nvidia officially announced the Tegra Note 7, a 7-inch budget tablet with stylus support, a Tegra 4 CPU and reasonably solid specs all-around. Instead of just selling it directly, Nvidia offered up the reference device to various hardware partners, who basically slapped their own labels on it.

Today Nvidia announced that a new member of the Tegra Note family is on its way, the Tegra Note 7 LTE. As you probably guessed, the Note 7 LTE is the same device as the original Wi-Fi model, with the only exception being the Nvidia i500 LTE modem that brings LTE and HSPA+ support to the device.

For those that need a refresher, the Note 7 LTE is powered by a 1.8Ghz quad-core Tegra 4 CPU with 1GB of RAM. Other specs include a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×800, 16GB storage, microSD, a 4100 mAh battery, 5MP rear cam, VGA front cam, micro-HDMI port and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The Note 7 LTE will be sold under the EVGA brand in North America, though Nvidia will be partnering with several other brands internationally. Aside from the North America, the tablet will also be sold in the UK, Western Europe, Ukraine, Japan, Korea, India, Brazil and China. The tablet will be offered in LTE and 3G variants, depending on the market.

• LTE-US: LTE: 700/850/1700/1900/2600 (Bands 2,4,5,17,7)HSPA+: 850/1900/2100 (Bands 1,2,5) EDGE
• LTE-EU: 800/1800/2600 (Bands 3,7,20), HSPA+: 850/900/1900/2100 (Bands 1,2,5,8), EDGE
• 3G: HSPA+: 850, 900, 1900, 2100 (Bands 1,2,5,8), EDGE, +Voice

So how much will the LTE version of the Nvidia Tegra Note 7 set you back? The device will command an $100 premium over the Wi-Fi variant, bringing the asking price to $299. No exact word on when the Tegra Note 7 LTE will arrive to the market, though Nvidia’s blog says its partners will start shipping the device in the 2nd quarter of 2014.
