A fresh report features a purported image that lists several new Nexus 7 features – Android 4.3 included – and says the new 7-inch tablet will be launched on July 31 with a retailer.

Engadget has posted the following image, which includes several specs and features for the upcoming tablet, most of them in line with what we’ve heard so far about the tablet:

  • 7-inch display
  • 1.5GHz quad-core processor
  • 32GB of storage
  • 5-megapixel rear-facing camera
  • 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera
  • Android 4.3
  • 1080p output via “slim port”
  • Wireless charging

Those of you interested in certain particular hardware details (screen resolution, amount of RAM, type of processor, battery size, LTE connectivity), will have to wait for Google to actually unveil the device.

New Nexus 7

As you can see, the device will most likely keep the same product name – Google Nexus 7 – as its predecessor.

Furthermore, Engadget says that the tablet is set to launch on July 31 with Staples, with the tablets expected to arrive in stock starting with July 24. We would expect Google to have it in the Play store around the same time if not sooner, in case these details are the real deal.

As for pricing, a previous report said Nexus 7 pricing will start at $229 (16GB version) and $269 (32GB version).

New Nexus 7

With all that in mind it looks like Sundar Pichai’s breakfast with the press next week – July 24 – will indeed be about the new Nexus 7 and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Naturally, Android Authority will cover the announcement in great detail, so stick around!
