UK carrier O2 has announced that the LTE (4G) version of the Google Nexus 7 (2013) will launch in the coming weeks, providing an actual release date for the tablet.

According to press materials released by the carrier, the device will arrive on September 13, which is a Friday. Furthermore, O2 is already listing the LTE Nexus 7 (2013) on its website, saying that the tablet will be exclusive to the carrier.

O2 provides some pricing details for the tablet as well. The Wi-Fi only version wih 32GB of storage will cost £249.99, while the LTE model will sell for £319.99.

Interestingly, pre-orders for the LTE versions will be available starting with August 29, and there’s an added incentive for buyers ready to pre-order it: a free premium case (£29.99 value) with every pre-order.

Considering that O2 is already offering launch dates for the LTE Nexus 7 model, and that a previous report suggested that Japan will also get the 4G model at some point in September – not to mention that at least one lucky buyer in China already has one such device – we would assume that the U.S. launch of the same tablet will take place around the same time.

However, Google is yet to start taking orders in the U.S. for the 4G model – we’ll note that, just like with the Wi-Fi model, Google partners seem very eager to jump the gun and make their own announcements and/or even start selling the device ahead of the company officially kicking off sales.

For what it’s worth, the Wi-Fi-only new Nexus 7 will be available in the UK and other European markets directly from Google.
