LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE back with a vengeance on AT&T

Remember the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE? It was the badass U.S.-bound version of the Korea-only Watch Urbane LTE we first saw at MWC 2015. But back in November 2015, it got cancelled due to “a hardware issue which affects the day-to-day functionality of the device”. But it’s now back with a vengeance and available on AT&T as of today, along with the LG G5.

Unlike the original LG Watch Urbane LTE, the 2nd Edition runs Android Wear (the Korea-only original ran WebOS). But it still functions with AT&T’s NumberSync service so you can make and receive calls and SMS on your usual phone number straight from your SIM-equipped watch, just like Batman. You don’t even need to have your phone with you.

The LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE will set you back $199 with a two-year AT&T plan or you can grab it for $359 outright. If you also buy an LG G5 on AT&T, you can get the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition LTE for just $99, but you’ll have to spend and additional $10/month to add it to your existing plan. If a smartwatch isn’t your thing, how about two LG G5’s for the price of one?

Are you happy to see the LG Watch Urbane 2nd Edition return from the dead?
