LG’s rumored G Pad tablet is said to be unveiled this September at IFA 2013 in Berlin, Germany, and to launch in the weeks after the event, at least in some markets.

A Korean report says that according to officials familiar with the matter, an LTE version of the LG G Pad will be launched by Verizon in the USA (a release date is not given though) and that a Wi-Fi-only version will be available in South Korea, where mobile operators are apparently not interested in a cellular version of the tablet yet. Details about other countries are not available at this point.

The tablet is expected to pack an 8.3-inch IPS display with WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor instead of the previously rumored Snapdragon 800 CPU.

LG isn’t new to making tablets, although the Android mobile device maker is yet to come out with a successful model. LG has already confirmed that it’s working on tablets again, with the Bluetooth SIG and FCC also confirming that such a device is in the works.
