LG G Pad 8.3 lands in the U.S., priced at $350

LG Pad hands on IFA 2013 AA

Back in September, sources familiar with LG’s plans told Android Authority that the new G Pad tablet would be priced “very competitively” when it arrived. While no exact price was mentioned, it was believed the tablet would end up somewhere in the $300 range. Fast-forwarding to today, LG has now announced that the G Pad 8.3 is available in the U.S. market for $349.99.

The G Pad is a fairly attractive aluminum clad tablet with an 8.3-inch 1920 x 1200 LCD display, a Snapdragon 600 CPU, 2GB RAM and plenty of additional specs that make it a solid option when compared to other 7 and 8-inch tablets. Unfortunately, a price of $349.99 also makes it a bit more expensive than the iPad Mini and considerably more expensive than the Nexus 7. It is still cheaper than Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8, however.

At IFA, we walked away impressed by our experiences with the G Pad 8.3, and the new price tag doesn’t change that. The G Pad is certainly worth the asking price, though we’re afraid that at this price some folks will end up skipping over this one in favor of more popular alternatives.

For those that are more than willing to put down a little extra money for LG’s new tablet, you can pick up the G Pad online via Best Buy’s website starting today. The tablet will also start showing up at brick and mortar retailers (including Best Buy) on November 3rd.

How about it – interested in the LG G Pad 8.3? Conversely, do you feel the asking price is a bit on the high side?
