Leef Bridge 3.0 micro USB / USB drive to launch on January 19

Remember the Leef Bridge dual microUSB / USB storage drive we showed you in late June? Well, it looks like the company has a new product version for Android fans, the Leef Bridge 3.0 which gets USB 3.0 support an will launch on January 19.

In case you’re not familiar with the product, you’ll realize what it does as soon as you take a look at it. It’s a storage unit that comes in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB versions that makes it easy to transfer files between PCs or Macs and Android devices.

The device features both a micro USB and a USB connector, each one placed at opposite ends, and both accessing the same memory. Furthermore, as you can see in the video and images, the Leef Bridge is really small, which makes it a perfect device to carry around.

As for performance, the device offers read times of up to 90MB per second, with the company saying that you’ll be able to enjoy “slick video and music playback” directly from it, without having to move the content to the device.

In order to work on Android devices, you’ll have to have Android 4.1 Jelly Bean or higher running on them, as well as micro USB On-The-Go (OTG) support.

Finally, the Leef Bridge 3.0 will cost $19.99, $34.99 or $69.99, depending on capacity version chosen, next month when it launches at select RadioShack stores – the device will be a RadioShack exclusive for 60 days, so that’s where you’ll have to purchase it from.
