KitKat contest has Nexus 7 (2013) and Google Play prizes worth almost $1 million

Android 4.4 KitKat

The Android 4.4 KitKat marketing promotion has begun with a contest – as suggested by the previously shown Nestle KitKat packaging – that offers Android-related prizes that are worth almost $1 million.

The “Grand Prize” is a Nexus 7 (2013) tablet (well, 1,000 of them) while the first prize is $5 credit for Google Play purchases (150,000 units are available). The second prize is a coupon for one free KitKat Minis Pouch (20,000 units are available). Unfortunately for international Android users, the promotion is available only in the USA.

Including the free candy, the prizes easily top $1 million.

In order to win one of the prizes, you’ll have to look in stores for Nestle KitKat bars with special Android packaging and find the code that you’ll have to enter online (see Source links below) inside the package.

For those of you still unaware of it, Google announced a few days ago the name and version of its next Android update: Android 4.4 KitKat. This is a marketing collaboration between Google and Nestle that has been discussed since late 2012 and finalized at MWC 2013, if a report is to be believed.
