Dark Sky weather app Android

If you’ve been following the weather app space for some time, you’re probably aware of Dark Sky, the hyperlocal weather app for iOS that features super-accurate notification alerts. Don’t have an iOS device? You’re in luck — Dark Sky has just made its way to the Google Play Store.

Dark Sky has made a name for itself on iOS thanks to its down-to-the-minute forecasts that tell you exactly when rain will start or stop at your current location. Seriously, it’s really accurate. It’s also very easy to navigate, filled with tons of useful features, and it’s quite the good-looking app.

It’s available now for free, but to get all the good features you’ll have to buy the premium version for $2.99 per year. The free version will get you full 24-hour and 7-day forecasts, current conditions and weather maps. The paid version has all the good stuff — down-to-the-minute forecasts, rain notifications and alerts, daily summaries and widgets.
