Honor Band A2 features an OLED display, heart rate sensor, and affordable price tag

Looking for a fitness tracker that won’t break the bank? Honor has you covered. The company has taken the wraps off the Band A2, the successor to the Band A1 that was announced last year.

The device is quite an upgrade over its predecessor, as it comes equipped with a 0.96-inch OLED screen as well as a heart rate sensor. It connects with your Android device via Bluetooth and is capable of tracking the number of steps you take during the day, monitoring your sleep, and even reminding you when you have been sitting for too long. It will also show you various notifications you get on your smartphone.

It’s resistant to dust and water thanks to the IP67 rating and comes with a silicone strap that is available in a few different colors: black, white, green, and red. The Honor Band A2 has a 95 mAh battery that the company says is good for around nine days of average use and can last for up to 18 days in standby mode.

Honor’s fitness tracker is quite affordable, as it will set you back 199 yuan, which is around $30. Sales will kick off on June 9 in China. Unfortunately, there’s no word if the Band A2 will make its way to other markets around the world. In case it doesn’t, you’ll probably be able to buy it from one of the many Chinese online retailers like GearBest, for example, but will have to pay a bit more to get it.
