The Nexus 4 and 10 launches have not been major fiascos only in North America and Europe, with Asians actually being more tormented than anyone else. Both devices were supposed to be made available via Google’s Japanese Play Store in the fall of 2012, but until a few hours ago they were nowhere to be found in the “Land of the Rising Sun”.
Things are finally starting to look up in Japan, following what’s now clearly an unprecedentedly focused effort from Samsung, LG and Google to meet demand. Out of the two Google partners, only Sammy is getting the thumbs-up in the East, but something tells us an LG move is to be expected soon as well.
The Nexus 10 is currently in stock in both the 16 and 32 GB flavors, going for the unbeatable prices of 36,800 and 44,800 yen ($397 and $483 respectively). Shipping might still require some patience, being currently listed as taking 1 to 2 weeks, but based on recent history you’ll probably not have to wait more than three or four business days.
But even if the whole affair will in fact take two weeks to be completed, can you really say no to the Nexus 10 after all you’ve been through? Absolutely not, guys, because what other $400 tab comes with a 2,560 x 1,600 pix res display, a dual-core Exynos 5 CPU, 2 gigs of RAM and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in tow?
Outside of Japan, Nexus 10 cravers can currently find the 16 GB tab in stock in the US, British, German and Canadian Play Stores and the 32 GB version in the States, UK and France. Or at least we think so, because everything can change in mere seconds.
