Google Play Store Spring Sale now live: save big on apps, games and books

Google has launched a Spring Sale in the Play Store to celebrate Easter. Like the typical promotions at Google’s app store, this introduces steep discounts on select apps, games, books and more.

Acclaimed games like Lumino City and Samorost 3 are down to $0.99, while more recent titles like Monument Valley 2 and Reigns: Her Majesty have had their prices halved (to $2.49 and $1.49 respectively). Square Enix’s Hitman Sniper is currently free.

Editor’s Pick

You can get 50% off app subscriptions for the likes of Runtastic and language app Memrise, and there are a shed-load of popular audiobooks and Ebooks that have also been reduced.

The US is, however, missing out on the Movie deals and TV deals that are available in other territories (I’ll leave the links there for others).

We don’t know exactly when the offer ends, but the games appear to be on sale for 5-6 days. It’s unlikely to come to a close before Easter Monday, so you’ll have at least the long weekend if you’re interested in picking something up.

Visit the Google Play Store Spring Sale here where you’ll also find links to the various sections. Give us your tips for the best bargains in the comments.

Note: the Spring sale may go live/have gone live at different times depending on the region.
