Google is rolling out new Search features that will allow U.S. English-speaking users to ask for specific information from Google including “flights, reservation, package delivery info and more.”

The new feature will be available on the desktop, smartphone and tablet, and will support voice-based queries – although it will work with old-fashion typed searches as well.

In case this all sounds very familiar, that’s because we’re looking at Google Now-like functionality that’s slowly moving to Google’s Search.

Using information taken from Gmail, Google Calendar and Google+, Google Search will be able to offer personalized search results that will be shown only to the user while being signed into Google. The data is “secure” and it’s delivered “via encrypted connection,” according to the company.

Opting out of these new Search features can be done in two ways, either from a current search, or by turning the search off permanently.

That said, here’s what you’ll be able to do with the new Search initially:

• Flights: Ask Google “Is my flight on time?” to get info on your upcoming flights and live status on your current flights.
• Reservations: Ask for “my reservations” to see your dining plans or “my hotel” to get your hotel name and address. With one tap, you can get driving or public transit directions straight there, saving you lots of steps.
• Purchases: Ask for “my purchases,” and you’ll get the status of your current orders, so you know whether your mom’s birthday present will arrive on time.
• Plans: Ask Google “What are my plans for tomorrow?” to see a summary of upcoming flights, hotels, restaurant reservations and events—very useful when you’re traveling.
• Photos: Say “Show me my photos from Thailand” to see the photos you uploaded to Google+. You can also ask for “my photos of sunsets” if you want to show off the shots you’ve taken over the year; Google will try to automatically recognize the type of photo you’re asking for.
