The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Note 8.0 has been leaked, and it’s already available to interested users.

While Samsung is yet to officially roll out the update, Sam Mobile says that the leaked ROM is “completely official,” revealing that battery life is better after the update and that the tablet “feels a lot faster.”

Recently, an Android 4.2.2 firmware for the Galaxy S3 has also been leaked, but a following report said that the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 could skip the Android 4.2.2 update and move directly to Android 4.3.

The publication offers instructions on how to flash the firmware to your Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi model, so make sure you follow them closely in case you want to test the leaked Android 4.2.2 ROM. The Galaxy Note 8.0 was announced at MWC 2013 earlier this year and hit stores in various markets thereafter. A direct response to Apple’s iPad mini, the Galaxy Note 8.0 is slightly more expensive that other Android tablets, including Samsung’s more affordable Galaxy Tab family.
