enTourage Systems™ Partners with the University of Chicago Press to Grow Academic Titles in the e-Book Store

enTourage Systems, creator of the world’s first dualbook – the enTourage eDGe – announced today that it has signed an agreement with The University of Chicago Press to integrate additional educational titles into the enTourage Systems’ e-book store.

The enTourage eDGe is an ideal companion for any student or intellectual, providing a multimedia tablet with the functionalities of an e-reader, notepad and audio/video player and record in one solution for better content consumption. The partnership with The University of Chicago Press will offer over 1,000 digital titles in the sciences, humanities, and social sciences, with particular strengths in sociology, philosophy, the life sciences, economics, history, anthropology and literary theory fields.

The enTourage eDGe is an Android powered device built with hinged 10.1” LCD and 9.7” diagonal e-paper screens. The LCD screen is WiFi-enabled to browse the Web, watch videos or create Microsoft Office documents and the e-paper side provides a place to read e-books and take notes, and the. The product also has full audio and video capabilities with its built-in camera and microphone which captures content to store and playback later. The enTourage eDGe runs on the Google Android operating system and backs up all content on enTourage Systems’ servers for safe keeping. It folds a full 360 degrees and orients its displays horizontally or vertically, to view as a book, single screen, or prop up laptop style.

In addition to the content from The University of Chicago Press, enTourage Systems e-book store includes over 200,000 trade titles, e-textbooks, major magazines, newspapers and periodicals, as well as over one million free public domain books digitized by Google. The e-book store is a key component to the enTourage Systems eco-system, providing a controlled user experience that also includes document back-up and sharing between devices.
