The Entourage Edge is a hybrid device – the company calls it a “dualbook”–with a 9.7-inch E-Ink display on one side and a 10.1-inch LCD tablet running Android on the other. It’s a novel concept, but the device is much thicker than an e-book reader or tablet, and doesn’t really excel at either.
The Edge is currently available for $499, and is offered in six different colors (navy blue, black, red, white, light blue, and gray). It includes WiFi 802.11 b/g, and bluetooth capability. The battery life is supposedly 16+ hours utilizing the e-reader screen, and up to 6 hours running the LCD screen. No information is available on the battery specs or the processing power and onboard memory behind this device. It does, however, have a 4GB internal flash drive.
