Deal alert: 16GB, 32GB Nexus 7 (2013) available for $30 off at Amazon

Nexus 7 (2013)

Android buyers looking for great savings on tablets this holiday season should look no further than Amazon, as the retailer has some great prices on Google’s latest 7-inch tablet.

Both the 16GB and 32GB version of the Nexus 7 (2013) tablet sell for $30 at Amazon, which is $199.99 and $239.99, respectively, instead of the original $229.99 and $269.99 prices. Just a few days ago we showed you a different Nexus 7 (2013) deal from Amazon an Newegg, but it looks like the former has decided to offer a better price on the 16GB model as well.

The Nexus 7 (2013) is still in stock with Amazon, no matter what capacity you choose, so you’d better hurry, in case you want to take advantage of the offer. The LTE version is not included in the promotion.

The deal is all the more interesting considering that the Nexus 7 (2013) is a direct competitor of Amazon’s own Android-based Kindle-branded tablets. In fact, Amazon has recently kickstarted a 30-day trial promotion for Kindle Fire HDX tablets, allowing users to test its tablets before buying them – Amazon will only charge buyers after the 30-day period expires.

On a different note, while U.S. Amazon buyers will be able to take advantage of the special Nexus 7 (2013) offer, not all international Amazon customers will get similar promotions. For example, Amazon UK also sells the two tablet versions for less than what they cost in the UK Google Play Store, at £177 and £207, respectively – down from £199 and £239. But other local Amazon stores do not have similar Nexus 7 (2013) discounts set up.

Are you looking to buy a discounted Nexus 7 (2013) this Black Friday and/or Christmas? Or are you going for a different kind of Android tablet?
