AT&T LTE ASUS PadFone X Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Note Pro 12

It is a big day for LTE enabled tablets in the U.S. as AT&T has rolled out three new units. Available for order now is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and making its debut in this form factor for the U.S. market, the ASUS PadFone X.

ASUS PadFone X

The ASUS PadFone X is two devices rolled into one. A 5-inch, Full HD phone with the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM with up to 16GB of internal storage and up to 64GB microSD card support. And a 9-inch tablet dock. The phone slips into the back of the tablet dock where the larger screen and extra battery power kicks in to run the Android 4.4 KitKat experience.

The PadFone makes for an interesting and versatile device. We enjoyed explaining it all back in May when we were told that AT&T would sell it for just $199 on contract. Sticking true to that promise, the PadFone X will run you $199.99 on a two year contract and a comparatively reasonable $595.92 without. Hit their site for more details.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, as the name implies, is a 10-inch tablet. 1280 x 800 resolution is pushed by a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5GB of RAM on Android 4.4 KitKat. Internal storage is reported as “up to 16GB,” your guess is as good as ours as to what that means, and microSD support goes up to 64GB. Snap one up for $479.99 off contract, or save $100 by signing on for two years. Head over to AT&T for more info.

Samsung Note Pro 12.2

The Samsung Galaxy Note pro 12.2 is a little bit different calibre of device than the Tab 4. The Note Pro offers a 12.2-inch display at 2460 x 1600 resolution, a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM on Android 4.4 KitKat. Up to 32GB internal storage with the same 64GB max microSD card. The juice to keep all these bells and whistles running is provided by a monster 9500mAh battery. You may have guessed it, big specs equals big price, that’s $899.99 off contract, or again save just $100 for signing a two year contract. See it in all its glory at the AT&T website.
