Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean update now available for Asus PadFone 2 HK and WWE

Asus-Padfone-2

If you purchased the Asus PadFone 2 in Taiwan, chances are you’re already running Jelly Bean on your handset, as the update was pushed out earlier in the month. Keeping true to its words, the Android 4.1.1 software updates for other versions of the PadFone 2 are now available to download.

To be specific, the manufacturer has uploaded the latest firmware (version 10.4.5.36) for the HK and WWE variants of the hybrid device on its website. As listed there, here’s the changelog:

  • Improved USB Internet Sharing to avoid disconnection
  • Improved the device’s audio quality
  • Enhanced camera’s focus and photo-quality features
  • Optimal GPS function
  • ASUS Studio image editing feature
  • PinPal, BuddyBuzz, and Floating Widget applications
  • Optimal streaming quality for playback smoothness
  • Added Asus Quick Settings function

Go ahead and enjoy the Jelly Bean feast that Asus has prepared. Otherwise, you can wait for the software package to magically appear on your handset, as it’s also being gradually pushed out to PadFone 2 owners over the air.
