Ant Smasher is a simple game where you smash ants. There isn’t much else to it, really. You smash the ants and earn points while you avoid bees. When you hit too many bees, the game will end. It doesn’t require a lot of motor skills to play so it should be good for babies (or more likely, toddlers). It’s free to play and over 90 million people currently have it!

Baby Explorer is actually 17 different games wrapped into one app that is free with no in app purchases. Among the games are things like matching pictures, puzzles, and playing with animals. There is a lot of content there to keep your baby (or toddler) busy for hours on end. Most people who have downloaded this app seem to enjoy it with only a few minor issues. Baby Piano is a simple application that is essentially what it says it is. It’s a colorful piano labeled with the various little words to identify the notes. The keys are adorned with cute little animals to further help your baby enjoy itself. A few people have had a couple of issues so do keep that in mind but otherwise it seems like a fairly straightforward app.

Drawing and coloring is about as much of a classic baby past time as anything can be. Even when I was younger, I loved to draw and color even though I was bad at both. This app lets your baby draw and color which can keep him or her occupied for hours. It costs $0.99 and there are no advertisements. It has crayons, brushes, pencils, and air brushes as well as 50 illustrations that kids can color in. Kids can have a lot of fun with it!
iStoryBooks

iStoryBooks is a collection of classic kids stories such as Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella. Obviously you’ll have to read these stories to your kids but there is a healthy selection of stories that you can read to your kids. It’s free to use and over three million people have already used the app in the past. Eventually you may need to get a monthly subscription but we imagine your child will have moved on to bigger and better things by then.
Kids Animal Piano

As the name implies, Kids Animal Piano is a piano with animals. Here’s how it works. Kids can select an animal and the piano keys will make the animal noises in that key. They can go a step further and select a song from the top bar to hear the tunes sang by the animals of their choice. It’s sure to drive parents crazy but kids live for this kind of stuff.
