Asus unveiled the new 7-inch MeMO Pad without fanfare just days after CES ended, so it’s clear that the Taiwanese company is not planning to make the affordable tablet its flagship in 2013.

Still, Asus isn’t keeping the MeMO Pad completely out of the spotlight. Today, to go with the official launch of the device, Asus released a promo video for the new MeMO Pad.

The video highlights some of the MeMO Pad’s strong suits, under the tagline “Delight Me More”. Among the features, we can mention the HD front camera, the microSD card slot, but also some of the apps that Asus pre-loaded on the device.

Some might dismiss these apps as bloatware, but at least the multi-window multitasking is quite interesting. Called Floating App, the feature resembles Samsung’s implementation, but is limited to a small number of applications for now: browser, video, sticky memo, email, calendar, and countdown.

It’s obvious that Asus is attempting to push the MeMO Pad as a productivity device, with another highlight of the MeMO Pad being the 5GB of free web storage that Asus is throwing in. 50GB would be more appropriate given the competition from services like Dropbox and Box, but, hey, you can’t argue with free.
