Bonus Plan Spotlight: up to $500 off Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus with Sprint

You’ve already had your plan spotlight this week, but this offer is so tasty that we couldn’t wait a whole week to spread the word. It’s Bonus Plan Spotlight time!

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ only launched last week, and the team at Sprint want you to join them in celebrating. So much so in fact, that they’re prepared to give you up to $500 off these latest Samsung sensations.

$500 off? Poppycock!

It’s true. It depends on whether you have a phone to trade in, and whether you’re already a Sprint customer, but in theory that’s the saving you could make.

There are two premium-grade deals to be had. If you hit both of them then the full $500 discount is yours.

Interesting. What’s deal 1?

The first offer is a trade-in deal worth up to to $350.

You have to trade in an eligible device of course, but the range of devices they’ll take is pretty broad. It’s essentially most mainstream phones from the Galaxy S6 onwards. Depending on which device you’re able to hand over, you receive a discount of $150, $250, or $350 in the deal.

This deal only applies to the 18-month lease deal of the S9 or S9+. There’s no down payment on these leases anyway, so you get your discount via bill credit.

For example, if you trade in a Galaxy S8 your monthly lease payment on a Galaxy S9 drops from $33 to just $13.55. By the way, that’s is the lowest monthly price without a down payment of all major carriers.

Lovely! What’s deal 2?

Even more simple this one. If you’re not with them already, switch over your number to Sprint and you’ll get a $150 Visa gift card. This can be applied to the balance of your device.

There you have it. If you can take advantage of both deals then you’re laughing

Here are some Ts and Cs you’ll want to know about:

  • Lease of new phone must be on an Sprint Flex Plan
  • This deal excludes device’s sales taxes
  • To get the full discount, you will need to stay for the entire 18 months of Flex lease
  • At the end of your 18-month lease, if you wish to own the device, you’ll need to pay the remaining balance which is equivalent to 6 months of the lease amount. You can either pay the remaining balance upfront or in 6 monthly installments
  • If you cancel service early, full balance is due
  • Offer is available for a limited time and available to new and existing customers

Sounds good. Any plans I might like?

Sure. If you’re looking to sort out friends and family, how about this one: The Sprint Unlimited Freedom plan gives you 4 lines for $25 per month per line, and even a 5th line free until the end of March.

They’ll also throw in a free subscription to Hulu. It’s unlikely to be a deal-breaker, but it’s certainly a nice bit of tinsel.

So lots to like from the folks at Sprint. The only choice left is whether to go for the Galaxy S9 or S9+. Both are looking devilishly handsome. Use the buttons or widgets below to make your decision.
