Gaming retailer GameStop has recently announced that it has started selling a new batch of Android tablets in more than 1600 stores across the United States, as well as via its online store. Back in October, when GameStop first started selling Android tablets, those were available in only 200 stores. Apparently, as the Android tablet business is starting to become more closely connected to the game retail business, major retailers are planning to make full use of this convergence.
Without further ado, here is the list of Android tablets now available for purchase at GameStop stores, along with their retail price:

- 10.1-inch Asus Eee Pad Transformer: $349,99
- Acer Iconia Tab A200: $299,99
- 7-inch Acer Iconia (8GB): $229,99
- 10.1-inch Samsung Galaxy tab (16GB): $399,99
- Toshiba Excite 10: $449,99
In addition to the list above, GameStop also sells refurbished original iPads for $285. According to GameStop, all tablets will come bundled with significant (“valuable” was the official word for it) extras, such free copies of Sonic CD and Riptide, the Kongregate Arcade app, as well as a free copy of Game Informer Digital.
Although this might currently seem insignificant for Android tablet sales worldwide, GameStop’s decision to specifically target the Android tablet gaming market is yet another indicator that tablet gaming might very well be the way of the future for mobile gaming.
