The first game in the series was designed by famed strategy game creator Sid Meier and released in 1991. Civilization VI was created by Meier’s team at Firaxis Games. You can accomplish this goal by waging war against your neighbors, or by diplomacy and trade. As your group of humans grows in number, it also advances its technology through research, and you can win the game via that route. While Civilization VI has a major single-player mode, you can also compete with friends online in many multiplayer modes.
