The oddly-named Wikipad has had a promising start as it garnered wide support from gamers and the big boys in the industry. But the string of good news seems to be temporarily ending, as the release date of the 10-inch Android gaming tablet, which was supposed to hit GameStop outlets on October 31, has been pushed back by the maker.
Explaining the setback, the Wikipad team said on a statement that the delay is “a last minute opportunity to enhance the Wikipad bundle as well as a minor refinement needed to ensure our first customers are completely satisfied with the Wikipad.”
Those who have pre-ordered the Wikipad at GameStop shouldn’t worry too much. According to the statement, you’ll get “the refined and upgraded bundles as well as a special bonus gift with the pre-order”.
The question on everyone’s mind now is when they can expect Wikipad to arrive. Sadly, the answer is one that’s rather vague. The team only said that the new launch date for the quad-core gaming slate will be announced soon.
