Disney announced the new title at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco this week and promised it will be “coming soon to Android, iOS”. There doesn’t look like there will be much of a change from Hipster Whale’s original Crossy Road, just the addition of Donald Duck and Mickey to the fray. But that’s not all, according to GameSpot, there will be over 100 unlockable characters in Disney’s Crossy Road — and that could be a whole lot of fun.

Each unlockable character will reportedly have its own unique 8-bit soundtrack too, so this new title should appeal to all kinds of Disney and Pixar fans. Disney Crossy Road will feature over 100 Disney and Pixar characters, each with a unique 8-bit soundtrack.

Because Disney owns Pixar and Star Wars, you should see some Pixar characters and figures from the Star Wars world as well. Who wouldn’t want to watch Buzz Lightyear and Darth Vader take their chances crossing a Frogger-inspired street? And in case you’ve ever wanted an answer to the question, “why did the chicken cross the road?”, it seems the answer is “to get Donald Duck to walk into traffic”…
