The biggest feature of Lenovo’s recent lineup of Motorola Moto Z phones is its support for Moto Mods, the accessories that can quickly and magnetically snap on and off the back of the devices to add new functions and features. Today, wireless carrier Verizon quietly began selling yet another Moto Mod for those phones; a battery pack from the well known case battery company Mophie.
This new Mophie juice pack battery mod works with the Moto Z, Moto Z Force and Moto Z Play phones. It has a 3,000mAH battery inside that the listing claims will extend the power of those phones by up to 60 percent. There’s also an LED power indicator at the bottom to show just how much energy is left in the pack. Owners can charge both the phone and the battery mod at the same time by simply charging the phone normally with the pack attached.
The price for this Mophie Moto Z battery mod is $79.99 from Verizon. So far, there’s no word on if any other retailer will be selling this new Mophie product, though obviously it should work just fine with your unlocked Moto Z as well.
