Upgrade 4.2 rolling out to the original NVIDIA Shield Tablet

Good news Android gamers! NVIDIA has started rolling out Upgrade 4.2 to the original NVIDIA Shield Tablet. This brings this gaming-centric Android device up to date with the June security patch, which it’s younger brother the NVIDIA Shield Tablet K1 received earlier last month. This update also brings along MIDI support over USB, low latency audio, and peripheral modes.

Owners of this device will receiving the ability to customize their navigation buttons (Settings > Personalize Settings), and improvements have been made to the NVIDIA Shield Tablet’s touch sensitivity across the board. Lingering problems with WiFi and Bluetooth have been corrected, and enhancements are here for the Vulkan API.
