Unlocked Moto Z Play now available from Amazon, Best Buy and B&H

Moto G4 Play 16

The unlocked version of Lenovo’s Moto Z Play, from its Motorola division, is now available from a number of different retailers in the US. They include Amazon, Best Buy and B&H Photo and all of them are selling the phone for $449.99. The same phone was previously launched by Verizon under the Moto Z Play Droid branding. The unlocked version can be used on AT&T, T-Mobile, and other GSM networks.

The Moto Z Play has a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, along with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, with a microSD card slot to expand that even more, up to 2TB. It has a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, along with a 3,510 mAh battery that the company claims will last up to 50 hours on a single charge with mixed use. It will also support quick charging, with 10 hours of power after just 15 minutes of being plugged in.

Like the Moto Z and Z Force, the Moto Z Play supports Lenovo’s Moto Mods, the optional attachments that can add an extra battery, a projector, a speaker or a camera with a 10x zoom lens to the phone (though not all at once, of course). What do you think of the Moto Z Play and could this be your next smartphone?
