Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

After we’ve found out that Samsung is planning to update its Galaxy Tab 2 tablets up to Android 4.2.2 this year, more good news comes on the update front, this time for T-Mobile Galaxy Tab 2 owners. The tablet is getting the Android 4.1.2 update.

After Verizon has updated its Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, to Android 4.1.2, now it’s T-Mobile’s turn to offer it to its subscribers. According to Sam Mobile, the update is already being offered over-the-air (OTA,) and can also be applied using the Kies software. Performance and battery improvements are to be expected from the update.

The news is also confirmed by T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 users on the official T-Mobile support forums. One person has even posted a screenshot of the update screen.

Sam Mobile also adds that next for the tablet is an Android 4.2.2 update, which should be out in June.

Are you one of the lucky people getting the update?
