In the past weeks we saw rumor after rumor confirming the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is going to be available from all major U.S. carriers, unlike its predecessor that was an AT&T affair, with T-Mobile quickly changing its Galaxy Note launch plans.
Just in the last few days we heard that the AT&T Galaxy Note 2 will reportedly hit stores on October 21 and we saw leaked images of the Verizon version, that featured a questionable Home button with Verizon branding.
Today, Sam Mobile reported that inside sources have confirmed the fact that the SGH-T889 is T-Mobile’s Galaxy Note 2 version, which will be available at a later date – actual availability dates remain undisclosed for the time being.
According to the publication, T-Mobile’s phablet version “will be having the same specification as the international variant and will be running on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network. The device will come with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean pre-installed.”
Considering what we’ve witnessed with the Galaxy S3 U.S. launch – no carrier in the region had was able to get from Samsung a custom Galaxy S3 version when it comes to overall design – we definitely expect to see Samsung maintain its new policy regarding design in its relationship with American mobile operators.
In addition to confirmation that the Galaxy Note 2 will be available from T-Mobile in the near future, Sam Mobile also seems to have gotten a hold of the Jelly Bean build of this American phablet version, which can be downloaded by anyone that’s already able to test the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2.
